The second question of Fatwa No. ( 19326 )
Q 2: Attached to this letter is a picture of a fiqh letter in which its author permitted bowing in front of the row and walking to it, even describing it as the Sunnah, citing some reports from some of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), interpreting the prohibition mentioned in the hadith of Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him):Sunan Abi Dawud 683Sahih (Al-Albani) , as referring to hurrying in walking to the prayer. I hope you will look into it and comment on it, may Allah preserve you,
and clarify the stronger position regarding the prohibition mentioned in this hadith.
A 2: Bowing in front of the row and then walking to it is contrary to the Sunnah and is prohibited, as stated in the authentic hadith narrated by al-Bukhari in (Sahih al-Bukhari), Book: (The Adhan), Chapter: (If one bows in front of the row),Bulugh al-Maram 2:324 . This hadith contains an indication of the prohibition for one who does this in the phrase: "And do not repeat it." Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book: (Fath al-Bari, commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari 3/313): (Meaning: Do not repeat what you did of running hard, then bowing in front of the row, and then walking to the row.) End of quote. As for the reports mentioned by the author of the letter, some are weak and some are anomalous, and they contradict the hadith of Abu Bakrah, which is in the authentic collections, and they also contradict other reports. The basis for this is what is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We do not know the author of the aforementioned letter among the scholars, so you should be careful in reading the books of the recognized scholars. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Narrated Abu Bakrah (RA): He reached the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was bowing, so he (Abu Bakrah) bowed before reaching the row. He mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ) and the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "May Allah increase your eagerness! But do not repeat." [Reported by al-Bukhari].
