Moving the Finger in Supplication

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20952 )
Q 2: There is a hadith in (Sahih Muslim ) with numbers (580) and (114) from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and it was also narrated by Ahmad (4 \ 318), and Abu Dawud in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on How to Sit in the Tashahhud (957), and al-Nasa'i in the Book of Forgetfulness, Chapter on the Position of the Elbows (3 \ 35), and Ibn Khuzaymah (714), and Ibn Hibban (485), (Mawarid), and Ibn al-Jarud in (al-Muntaqa 208). Is the addition in this hadith anomalous or not? Because some scholars said that moving the fingers in supplication while sitting is anomalous;
because the hadiths are understood to refer to moving the index finger (the swimming motion) in the tashahhud only, and these hadiths are general and not restricted to movement in the tashahhud only. So the question here is: are the hadiths I listed in my letter anomalous or not? Please issue a ruling for us, may Allah reward you with good?

A 2: The hadiths regarding moving the index finger when the worshipper makes supplication in general, without specifying the place in the prayer, such as the hadith narrated by Imam Muslim in (his Sahih) from 'Amir ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr from his father, who said:
when God’s Messenger sat making supplication he placed his right hand on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, pointed with his forefinger, placed his thumb on his middle finger, and covered his knee with the palm of his left handكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا قعد يدعو وضع يده اليمنى على فخذه اليمنى ويده اليسرى على فخذه اليسرى وأشار بأصبعه السبابة ووضع إبهامه على إصبعه الوسطى ويلقم كفه اليسرى ركبته
Mishkat al-Masabih 908
It was also narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah and al-Tirmidhi and others. Hadiths like this one, which mention that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his finger when he made supplication, are authentic and not anomalous. They are understood to refer to supplication in the tashahhud, and that is what is intended by them. Thus, they are general hadiths restricted by the pointing with the index finger in the tashahhud in the prayer, whether the first tashahhud or
the second. The worshipper points with the index finger of his right hand, directed toward the qiblah, when making supplication and when testifying to the oneness of Allah, without moving it; because it reminds the servant of the oneness of Allah, the sincerity of worship to Him, and the servant's need for his Lord, and this is the greatest thing that Satan hates. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
