The Guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in what he said in the sitting between the two prostrations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 20683 )
Q 3: It has been reported in a hadith that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lengthen his prayer in the tahajjud, and among that is the sitting between the two prostrations . The Sunnah is for the Muslim to say in it: “O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me,” up to the end of the supplication. If the Muslim lengthens the sitting between the two prostrations, what does he say other than this supplication? And is it permissible for him to repeat this supplication so that his sitting is close to his prostration, as in the hadith of Hudhayfah and the hadith of Ibn Mas’ud regarding their night prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A 3 : The guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is that
He used to say in the sitting between the two prostrations: “My Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me.”كان يقول في الجلسة بين السجدتين: رب اغفر لي وارحمني وعافني واهدني وارزقني
and he may repeat that three times or add to it whatever of the prescribed supplications is easy for him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
