The ruling on supplicating for one's parents and others between the two prostrations

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for a person to supplicate between the two prostrations for his parents, his parents' parents, his brothers, and the Muslims in general? And is it permissible to recite the dhikr transmitted after the obligatory prayer during voluntary prayers and the regular voluntary prayers?

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with supplicating between the two prostrations for one's parents and others, but it is better to repeat what is mentioned in the text:
Rabbighfir li, Rabbighfir liرب اغفر لي، رب اغفر لي، رب اغفر لي
Sunan Ibn Majah 897Sahih (Darussalam)
O Allah, grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to the path of righteousness and provide me sustenance.اللهم اغفر لي وارحمني واهدني واجبرني وارزقني وعافني
Sahih Muslim 2697a
This is how it came in the supplication between the two prostrations. And if he supplicates for his parents along with that, saying, "O Allah, forgive my parents and my Muslim relatives," or "O Allah, forgive me and the Muslims," there is no blame on him; we do not know of any blame; because it is a place of supplication, between the two prostrations, a place of supplication. But it is better to engage with what is transmitted. Yes.
