The discharge after the ghusl for janabah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 17067 )
Q: After performing the ghusl, I wash the private parts, and then I wash my hands and perform wudu for prayer. However, after a short period (1 to 5 minutes), I feel something coming out. What is required of me in this situation? And what is required of me if something comes out of the private parts after the ghusl and I do not wash it, thinking that it is from waswas (whispers of Shaytan), and after finishing the prayer I wash it because of the many thoughts that come to me? In this case, do I only perform istinja (cleaning), or do I repeat the ghusl again?
A : The discharge after the ghusl for janabah does not affect the validity of the ghusl from it. Rather, you must perform istinja and wudu when intending to do what requires wudu, such as the prayers and reading the Qur'an from the mushaf, provided that the discharge is confirmed. As for if it is merely waswas, it should not be heeded. And as for if the discharge is semen with renewed pleasure, it necessitates the ghusl. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
