Q1: Is it permissibleto pray behind an imam who does not cover his wives, knowing that covering the wives is obligatory, and is it permissible to pray behind an imam whose garment hangs below his ankles?
A1 : One should advise the imam from whom some sins are apparent. If he repents, that is well; otherwise, one should strive to replace him with a better imam if possible. The prayer behind him is valid, if Allah wills. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
