If a person volunteers to provide the shroud for his Muslim brother

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 14845 )
Q 1: What is the ruling if a man dies and a person who is not a relative of the deceased buys the shroud from his own money, and the son of the deceased refuses to pay for it, given that the deceased was not poor ? I ask for clarification on this matter.
A 1: If a person volunteers to provide the shroud for his Muslim brother, there is nothing wrong with that,
whether the deceased was rich or poor, and whether the volunteer was a relative of the deceased or not. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
