Q 1: I was traveling and I caught the final tashahhud of the Friday prayer with a resident imam, so I completed my prayer with only two rak'ahs after he finished. Is my action valid?
A 1: One who catches only the tashahhud with the Friday imam has missed the Friday prayer; because the minimum required to catch a rak'ah is what is considered catching it. Therefore, it is obligatory for you to make up the prayer as four rak'ahs of Zuhr. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
