Straightening the rows by touching the toes of the feet
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The seventh question of Fatwa number ( 17880 )
Q 7: Straightening the rows by touching the toes of the feet to one another and the shoulders to one another. The Hanbalis consider this obligatory in prayer, while the Malikis do not consider it obligatory; rather, the requirement is that the rows be straightened so that they are aligned?
A 7 : Standing close together in the rows and aligning the shoulders and ankles is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded. Therefore, this is achieved by the worshippers touching one another so that there is no space between them. It is not done by spreading the legs or touching the toes to one another, but rather by bringing the bodies close together, aligning the shoulders and ankles, and closing the gaps. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
