The Position of the Imam and the Ma'mum in Congregational Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 15435 )
Q1: I entered one of the mosques and found two men praying the obligatory prayer. Is it permissible for me to pull the ma'mum so that he prays with me, or should I only notify the imam? And if there is no space for the imam to move forward, is it permissible for me to pull the ma'mum so that he prays with me, or not? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A1 : If you find two men praying the obligatory prayer and you wish to pray with them, you should delay yourself and one of them behind the other, and make him the imam for both of you. It is permissible for one of them to move forward as the imam for both of you, and you remain behind him; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned Jabir and Jubayr and placed them behind him, as narrated by Muslim and Abu Dawud. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
