Women Praying Outside the Mosque by Following the Imam via the Loudspeaker

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 21597 )
Q: We would like to ask about the validity of women following the imam in the congregational and Friday prayers via the loudspeaker, when they are in a place where they cannot see the imam or the other worshippers , particularly in the following two cases. The first case: a small mosque to which a large, newly built mosque has been attached, but a residential house separates them, and the three buildings are adjacent to one another; the large mosque is designated for men and the small one for women. The second case: the women pray in a hall attached to the mosque but located at its rear, and they are separated from the men's hall by other rooms and halls belonging to the mosque.
A : As for the first case: it is not valid for the women to follow the imam of the aforementioned mosque, because their prayer area is separated from the mosque by a residential house. As for the second case: it is valid for the women to follow the imam if they can hear his voice, because these partitions are part of the mosque and do not affect the validity of following the imam.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
