Women Praying Outside the Mosque Following the Imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 17223 )
Q: We inform Your Eminence regarding our mosque located in al-Badi'ah district , which has no prayer hall for women. Every year during the blessed month of Ramadan,
we close the street located north of the mosque and set up tents in it for the women to pray in, and this is done only during the month of Ramadan. There has been much discussion regarding the permissibility of praying there or not. Therefore, we hope Your Eminence will issue a ruling on this matter: is it permissible to close the street and make it a prayer place for women or not? Please issue a ruling, may Allah reward you, and may Allah preserve you.

A : After the Committee studied the inquiry, it responded that it is not permissible to pray in the place mentioned, because it is outside the mosque and separate from it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
