Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 19596 )
Q 4: What is the ruling on a man who does not pray in congregation , and we have warned him several times, and he excuses himself by saying that his clothes are not pure, as he works in a butcher shop, and he says that he prays alone and has been in this state for a long time, so is this permissible?
A 4: It is obligatory for a man to pray the five daily prayers in congregation with the Muslims in the houses of Allah the Exalted, and it is not permissible to be absent from the congregation except for a valid religious excuse; such as illness, fear, or the like. The person mentioned is able to set aside clean clothes, other than his work clothes, to perform this great obligation; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Bulugh al-Maram 2:308, it was said to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): What is the excuse? He said: Fear or illness. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
