The second question of Fatwa number ( 16371 )
Q 2: A man prays all the obligatory prayers at home except for Jumu'ah , and some of the obligatory prayers. When someone tells him about the congregational prayer in the mosque, he says the noble hadith:Sunan Abi Dawud 2042Sahih (Al-Albani) , so what is the meaning of the hadith?
A 2: His saying (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Abi Dawud 2042Sahih (Al-Albani) , its meaning is the exhortation to pray the voluntary prayers in them, whereas the obligatory prayers must be performed in the mosques with the congregation, due to his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:352 , and other hadiths on that matter. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
