Reading from the author's text with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "And the indication of the proof

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "The indication of the proof: that the grave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best grave on the face of the earth, and he prohibited taking it as a festival, so the grave of anyone else is even more deserving of prohibition, whoever it may be. Then he coupled that with his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Do not make your houses into graves ولا تتخذوا بيوتكم قبوراً
Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq 7:676
meaning: do not leave them empty of prayer, supplication, and recitation, so that they become like graves. Thus, he commanded seeking worship in the houses and prohibited seeking it at the graves, the opposite of what the polytheists among the Christians and those who imitate them do.
In the two Sahihs, it is narrated from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Observe some of your prayers in your houses and do not make them graves. اجعلوا من صلاتكم في بيوتكم، ولا تتخذوها قبوراً
Sahih Muslim 777a
, and Muslim narrated from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet "
.

The Shaykh : Rather, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The most excellent prayer of a person is (that which he prays) in his house except that which is prescribed (the five congregational prayers). أفضل صلاة المرء في بيته إلا المكتوبة
Bulugh al-Maram 2:313
For this reason, prayer in the houses, other than what is prescribed in the mosque, such as standing in night prayer in Ramadan and the obligatory prayer in the houses, is better. It has a subtle meaning and wisdom, which is: when a man prays in his house, his family sees him and the children see him, so they become accustomed to prayer and imitate him, until you find the small child imitating the one who prays in the mosque.
The student: In his house.

The Shaykh : Yes, the one who prays in the house, you find the child imitating him, even lining up his side and watching what he does. In any case, he does not understand the meaning, but he imitates. And when he gets tired, he leaves and stops. But there is no doubt that he becomes accustomed to prayer. This is part of the wisdom in why prayer in the houses is better. Yes.
