The Ruling on the Iqamah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Questions ten and eleven from Fatwa number ( 6914 )
Q10: Is the iqamah obligatory or a recommended practice for the obligatory prayer, and what is its ruling for the voluntary prayer?
A10: The iqamah for the five obligatory prayers is a collective obligation, like the adhan, and there is no iqamah for any other prayers.
Q11: What is the ruling for one who called the adhan for prayer before its time had entered and confirmed that the time had entered after a quarter of an hour, then gave the iqamah and prayed?
A11: His prayer is valid, but he has done wrong by advancing the adhan before the time if he knew that and intended to advance it, and he must repent
and seek forgiveness, and he has to repeat the adhan after the time; so that those who heard the first adhan know that it was a mistake. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
