The Adhan Before Its Time

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14289 )
Q 2: The mu'adhdhin of one of the mosques in our town called the adhan for the Maghrib prayer in the month of Ramadan, seven minutes before the time had entered , and as a result, a number of the residents of this town broke their fasts, knowing that the mu'adhdhin did not intend to do so but did so out of forgetfulness. Does he owe an expiation, and do those who broke their fasts based on this adhan
need to fast one day in place of that day?

A 2: It is obligatory for the mu'adhdhin to be precise in determining the entry of the time, especially the time of sunset and the time of the appearance of dawn; because the permissibility of breaking the fast at sunset, the abstention from things that break the fast at the appearance of dawn, and the entry of the times for the Maghrib and Fajr prayers are connected to them. If he called the adhan out of forgetfulness, we ask Allah for his forgiveness, and he must inform the people of the neighborhood in which he is that those among them who broke their fasts due to that adhan must make up that day. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
