When is the time for the first adhan on Friday?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence! Do you guide the people to the difference between the time of the first adhan and the time of the second adhan?

Answer:
The second adhan is after the imam enters [the pulpit]. This is what existed in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and in the time of al-Siddiq and 'Umar. This is called the final adhan. In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), only this existed, after the sun has passed its zenith. This is the prescribed practice.
As for the first adhan, as mentioned earlier, 'Uthman introduced it for the sake of a legitimate benefit. It is better that it not be far from the final adhan. It is better that it not be far so that people are alert and attend before the imam enters. If it is before the prayer, half an hour before the adhan, or something like that, or two-thirds of an hour; then this is good, if Allah wills.
As for their taking the final adhan [as the only one], the benefit would be little. It is better that it be before the adhan at a time that people can benefit from, where they perform ghusl and move forward for the prayer before the final adhan, so that the required benefit is achieved. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good. If it is one hour before the imam enters, for example, do you consider this good?

The Shaykh: There is no blame. One hour or less, or half an hour; there is no blame. The point is that what is done in some mosques, where this adhan is called, and then the second adhan is called, it is better to leave it; because the benefit is not achieved by this. If there is a time between them, a time between the two adhans that is sufficient for the Muslims to benefit from in performing ghusl and moving forward for the prayer before the imam enters at a time; so that they attend the mosque and pray what Allah has written for them, and then prepare to listen to the imam. Yes, this is the better and the best. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
