Q: I underwent a hemorrhoid operation more than a year and a half ago, and after that operation I no longer have control over purity from wind and other things, and I have been afflicted with great distress and hardship in purifying myself from moisture at every prayer. My question is: Is it obligatory for me to change my underwear
the trousers that are affected by moisture at every prayer , even though I find that difficult when I am at work or in a lecture that lasts from Maghrib to Isha, knowing that I perform wudu for every prayer, but it is changing the clothes that is difficult for me, so am I allowed to take precautions and remain in this state until the end of the day if there is no excessive moisture? And am I allowed to combine the two prayers in one wudu when traveling or in the rain? And am I allowed to wipe over the socks like a healthy person? And am I allowed to perform wudu at some times for prayer a little before the time enters so that I can catch the congregation, such as being in Makkah because of the crowd at the restrooms? And what is the ruling if I previously prayed prayers whose number I do not know with a wudu for prayer before the time entered?
A : First: It is obligatory for you to take precautions against the moisture so that nothing of the impurity affects your underwear, and you must change this pad if it becomes contaminated with impurity. As for the trousers, do not change them as long as nothing of the impurity has affected them. Second: There is no harm in your attending lectures and seminars as long as there is no fear that you will contaminate the mosque.
Third: The one afflicted with incontinence must perform wudu for every prayer after its time enters, so if he combines the two prayers for travel or rain, one wudu suffices for the two prayers; because performing them together in the time of one of them is considered one time. It is permissible for you to wipe over the socks if you put them on while in a state of purity, and as for the wudu you performed before the time entered, we hope that Allah will forgive you. You must maintain what you were doing of standing in night prayer, reciting the Qur'an, and attending the gatherings of scholars, and do not let Shaytan tempt you, and be patient with what has afflicted you, for you will have a great reward for that. We ask Allah for your healing and well-being, and that He keep you firm upon the truth, and that He guide us all to what He loves and is pleased with. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
