The Condition of the Pregnant Woman and Menstruation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20617 )
Q2: Does a pregnant woman menstruate? If the answer is yes, what is her status regarding the prayer and fasting she has performed? And if the opposite is the case, is it permissible for her to pray and fast while she sees blood flowing from her womb?
A2 : What comes out of a pregnant woman during her pregnancy is considered corrupt blood. She does not leave off prayer or fasting because of it, and it does not prevent her husband from having intercourse with her. She must perform wudu' for every prayer after its time has entered, and she must take precautions to prevent the blood from falling
on her clothes. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
