What is the meaning of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And from the evil of the darkening night as it closes in," and His saying

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We often read Surat al-Falaq, which includes the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And from the evil of darkness when it settles ومن شر غاسق إذا وقب
[Al-Falaq 113:3]
So what is the meaning of this verse, and what is the meaning of His saying:
And from the evil of the blowers in knots ومن شر النفاثات في العقد
[Al-Falaq 113:4]
Why is the blowing attributed to women? Is it an action specific to them, or do men do it too?

The Shaykh : Yes, "the darkening night as it closes in" is the night, as Allah the Exalted said:
Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Qur'an of dawn أقم الصلاة لدلوك الشمس إلى غسق الليل وقرءان الفجر
[Al-Isra 17:78]
We are commanded to seek refuge from it because insects, wild beasts, and other things spread more in the night than in the day. Therefore, a person seeks refuge in his Lord from this darkening night as it closes in, meaning when it enters. As for "the blowers in knots," they are the women who blow into knots with sorcery, using it to bewitch people. Women were specified in this because it is the norm for it to occur from them; otherwise, men are like them. However, the address may sometimes be restricted to what or whom it is the norm for to occur from, and this does not mean that it does not extend to others who share the same cause. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. This is a question from the listener Abd al-Rahman M. S. from Mogadishu, Somalia. He says:
