What is done with the worn-out pages of the mushaf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18148 )
Q 3: If a man or a student reads from a mushaf of the Qur'an for a long time, until the pages of the mushaf become worn and torn in the hands of the reader, and the worn-out pages of the mushaf of the Qur'an are not to be thrown in the trash, should they be buried or burned, and what is the evidence for the answer to this question?
A 3 : If the mushaf tears, it is not permissible to throw its pages in the trash or on the roads; rather, they should be buried in pure earth or burned to protect it from desecration, as the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did in the time of 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), when they gathered the Qur'an in the standard mushafs that 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) distributed to the Muslim cities and burned the rest. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
