Reciting the Qur'an without knowing its interpretation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa number ( 19596 )
Q 2: I have heard from students of knowledge that one who recites the Qur'an and does not know its interpretation is sinful. What is your opinion, since I do not know the interpretation?
A 2 : Reciting the Qur'an, even if the reciter does not understand the interpretation, is among the righteous deeds for which one is rewarded. However, the more a Muslim reflects on what he recites and understands what his Lord intends by His speech, the greater his reward and the more he is affected by it. What the person mentioned said is a clear error, and he must repent to Allah the Exalted for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
