Designating a specific surah that a person commits to reciting every night

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18623 )
Q 2: I am a young man who commits to reciting Surah al-Waqi'ah and Surah al-Hadid after reading hadiths that mention they have great virtue. The first protects against and repels poverty, and the second brings the prayer and peace of the angels upon its reciter. Is there any blame on me for this commitment?
A 2: Reciting the Qur'an is prescribed at all times. Designating a specific surah that a person commits to reciting every night depends on the evidence. If valid evidence is found specifying its recitation, it is prescribed, as is the case with Ayat al-Kursi, Surah al-Ikhlas, and the two Mu'awwidhat after every prayer and at bedtime, and repeating al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhat three times after the Maghrib and Fajr prayers and at bedtime. As for what is mentioned regarding the virtue of Surah al-Waqi'ah and Surah al-Hadid, it has been narrated:
He who recites sūra al-Waqi'a (Qur’ān, 56) every night will never be afflicted by want.من قرأ سورة الواقعة كل ليلة لم يصبه فاقة أبدًا
Mishkat al-Masabih 2181
This is a fabricated hadith
This is a fabricated hadith narrated through the route of Ahmad al-Yamami from Ibn Abbas . Al-Suyuti mentioned it in (The Tail of Fabricated Hadiths) and said: Ahmad al-Yamami is a liar. It is also narrated through the route of Abu Shuja' from Ibn Mas'ud , and it is weak. Al-Dhahabi said: In its chain is Abu Shuja' , an unknown person who is not recognized. As for the claim that reciting Surat al-Hadid brings the prayer and peace of the angels upon its reciter, this is not correct, and no authentic hadith has been established regarding this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). What a Muslim should do is recite the Qur'an frequently, for he has a good deed for every letter; for al-Tirmidhi narrated in his (Jami') with a sound chain from Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.من قرأ حرفًا من القرآن فله به حسنة، والحسنة بعشر أمثالها، لا أقول ( الم ) حرف، ولكن ألف حرف ولام حرف وميم حرف
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910Hasan (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
