Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 6: What is the evidence from the Book and the Sunnah regarding the permissibility of a husband washing his deceased wife, and vice versa ?
A 6: It is permissible for either of the spouses to wash the other if they die;
When MalikMalikin (al-Muwatta) thatAbu Bakr(may Allah be pleased with him) left a will that his wifeAsma, and whenImam AhmadfromAisha(may Allah be pleased with her) said: (If I had known in advance what I know now, I would not have allowed anyone but women to wash the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)), and Ibn al-MundhirIbn al-Mundhirthat'Ali(may Allah be pleased with him) washed his wifeFatimah(may Allah be pleased with her), and when Sa'id narratedSa'idthatJabirand 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswadinstructed their wives to wash them, and by his saying (peace and blessings be upon him)to Aisha(may Allah be pleased with her):
If I had died before you, I would have washed youلو مت قبلي لغسلتك
It was narrated byAhmadand Ibn Majahand it was graded authentic byIbn Hibban .

Q 8: When the soul leaves the body of a human being, does this soul ascend to the sky, or in other words, where does this soul go after it leaves the body of a human being? And is the soul punished alone, or is the soul returned to the body of the human being so that the human being is punished in soul and body? And is the human being punished in the grave until the Day of Resurrection, or is he punished in his barzakh life for a specific period and then left for his final reckoning on the Day of Resurrection, or whenever Allah wills to punish him, He returns the soul to him and then punishes him in the grave? And for which sins is the human being punished in the grave, and if the human being is punished in the grave for a sin he committed in this world, will he be punished a second time on the Day of Resurrection for the very same sin - the same sin - for which he was punished in
the grave, or does the punishment of the grave reduce the punishment of the Day of Resurrection? Please inform us, may Allah reward you. In summary: What is the fate of this soul after the death of a human being, what is the place where this soul settles, and what are the established proofs from the Qur'an and the Sunnah regarding the punishment of the grave and its manner? Write them out for us in detail, may Allah reward you, because a human being is often presented with this question: the fate of the human being in the grave in his barzakh life. When the soul leaves the human being, does he fall under the obligation of questioning even if he is not buried in a grave, or must he be placed in a grave? Because a human being may die in a desert alone without there being a person to perform his burial and shrouding, or a person may be eaten by fierce beasts like a lion or a tiger.. etc., or he may drown in the sea and become prey to the fish of the sea, or he may burn and become ash, and how is the questioning of such people who die in this way, or their punishment, or are the people who die in this manner not subject to questioning and answering? We often hear that light came out of such-and-such a grave, or fire from such-and-such a grave, and some people say: We heard the voice of the owner of such-and-such a grave screaming from the intensity of the punishment. They interpret it this way. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah regarding the validity of that? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.

A 8: When the soul departs from the body, the soul of the believer ascends to the sky, and the ones brought near from every sky accompany it until it reaches the seventh heaven, where Allah the Exalted says:
Return them to the earth, for I created them from it and to it I will return them, and from it I will bring them out a second time. And his soul is returned to his body, and two angels come to him and make him sit, and they say to him: Who is your Lord? He says: My Lord is Allah. They say to him: What is your religion? He says: My religion is Islam. They say to him: Who is this man who was sent among you? He says: He is the Messenger of Allah. They say to him: What is your knowledge? He says: I read the Book of Allah and I believed in it and I testified to its truth. Then a caller calls out from the sky: Your servant has spoken the truth, so spread for him from Paradise, and open for him a door to Paradise. He said: So he is given from its spirit and its fragrance, and his grave is made spacious for him to the extent of his sight. He said: And a man comes to him, good-looking, well-dressed, and fragrant, and he says: Be glad with what pleases you, this is the day you were promised. He says to him: Who are you? Your face is the face that brings good. He says: I am your good deed. He says: O my Lord, establish the Hour so that I may return to my family and my wealth. As for the soul of the disbeliever, his soul ascends to the sky, then the doors of the sky are closed against it, and it is returned to the earth, and his soul is returned to his body, and two angels come to him and make him sit, and they say to him: Who is your Lord? He says: Hah, hah, I do not know. They say to him: Who is this man who was sent among you? He says: Hah, hah, I do not know. Then a caller calls out from the sky: Your servant has lied, so spread for him from the Fire, and open for him a door to the Fire, so he is given from its heat and its poison, and his grave is tightened upon him until his ribs are crushed. And a man comes to him, ugly-looking, ugly-dressed, and foul-smelling, and he says: Be glad with what angers you, this is the day you were promised. He says: Who are you? Your face is the face that brings evil. He says: I am your evil deed. He says: O my Lord, do not establish the Hourردوها إلى الأرض فإني منها خلقتهم وفيها أعيدهم ومنها أخرجهم تارة أخرى، وتعاد روحه إلى جسده، فيأتيه ملكان فيجلسانه، فيقولان له: من ربك؟
. It was narrated by Imam Ahmad and Abu Dawud and al-Nasa'i and others. And it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the souls of the believers roam in Paradise wherever they wish in the form of birds, hanging on the trees of Paradise until they are returned to their bodies on the Day of Resurrection. As for the souls of the martyrs, they are placed in the bellies of green birds that roam in Paradise wherever they wish, then they return to lamps hanging under the Throne. And the punishment of the grave and its bliss are true, as indicated by the aforementioned hadith and other authentic hadiths. And Allah the Exalted said regarding the family of Pharaoh:
The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and evening. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Make the people of Pharaoh enter the severest punishment."
[Ghafir 40:46]
. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave after the tashahhud, so he said:
When any one of you utters tashahhud (in prayer) he must seek refuge with Allah from four (trials) and should thus say:" O Allah! I seek refuge with Thee from the torment of the Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trial of life and death and from the evil of the trial of Masih al-Dajjal"إذا تشهد أحدكم فليتعوذ بالله من أربع، يقول: اللهم إني أعوذ بك من عذاب جهنم، ومن عذاب القبر، ومن فتنة المحيا والممات، ومن فتنة المسيح الدجال
Sahih Muslim 588a
And the punishment of the grave is for the soul and the body, and so is the bliss of the grave for the soul and the body.

Q 12: Is it part of the Sunnahto remove the pubic hair of the deceased, the area above the private parts and its surroundings for females, and likewise the area above the penis for males, and the hair under the armpits, or is it not permissible to remove it even if it is thick and it is left as it is, given that I have heard that it is customary to remove the hair in the areas I mentioned from the body of the deceased by shaving it? Please inform us of the correct answer; may Allah reward you.
A 12 : It is obligatory to cover the 'awrah of a human being, whether he is alive or dead, male or female, and it is not prescribed to shave the pubic hair of the deceased; because it entails exposing the 'awrah without need. Likewise, it is not prescribed to pluck his armpit hair due to the lack of evidence for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
