A villager passed away, so I stood up and spoke to them for about 5 minutes from a book on the ritual bath, shrouding, and condolences

The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 16402 )
Q 4: One day, a villager passed away, so I stood up and spoke to them for about 5 minutes from a book on the ritual bath, shrouding, and condolences. Is this permissible or not?
A 4: Teaching Muslims matters of their religion is part of calling people to Allah the Exalted, and part of explaining what is obligatory upon the scholars, including explaining the rulings concerning funerals. However, your teaching them should not be tied to a specific time linked to the death of the deceased, so that the ignorant do not think it is one of the regular practices prescribed in the Shari'ah. Rather, teaching should take place when there is a need, at the appropriate time. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
