The Hadith: Souls are Regiments

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 15129 )
Q1: Please explain the noble hadith:
Souls are regimentsالأرواح جنود مجندة
and so on of the hadith.

A1: It is established from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The spirits are in marshaled hosts; those who know one another will be friendly, and those who do not, will keep apart.الأرواح جنود مجندة، فما تعارف منها ائتلف، وما تناكر منها اختلف
Sunan Abi Dawud 4834Sahih (Al-Albani)
It was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim . In this hadith, the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified that souls are created in a state of affinity and difference, like regiments of soldiers when they face one another. This is according to what has been decreed for them of happiness and misery. The bodies in which these souls reside meet in this world and become compatible or incompatible according to the likeness or dislike they were created with. You see the righteous, good person loves his like and inclines toward him, and the wicked person is drawn to his like and inclines toward him, while each repels his opposite. It was reported in (al-Fath) from al-Khattabi that he said: It is possible that this is a reference
to the meaning of likeness in good and evil, righteousness and corruption, and that the good among people long for their like, and the evil one is similar in that he inclines toward his like. Thus, the recognition of souls occurs according to the dispositions they were created with of good and evil; if they agree, they recognize each other, and if they differ, they reject each other. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
