The first question of fatwa number ( 17340 )
Q1: What is the meaning of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you is a believer until I am dearer to him than his child, his father, and the whole of mankind.لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى أكون أحب إليه من ولده ووالده والناس أجمعين
Sahih Muslim 44b
? What is the love intended in the hadith?

A1: The meaning of the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you is a believer until I am dearer to him than his child, his father, and the whole of mankind.لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى أكون أحب إليه من ولده ووالده والناس أجمعين
Sahih Muslim 44b
is the obligation of prioritizing obedience to Allah and His Messenger over the obedience of anyone else, whether child, parent, or other people, along with the earnestness to follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and emulate him in all matters,
and that the obligatory faith is not complete except through that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
