From the supplications of the Sufis and others

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Some Sufis distribute the following supplication in an indirect manner, stating that it is beneficial when fearing the encounter with a person whose violence one dreads, or for protecting oneself from the evils of people. The text of the supplication is: "In the name of Allah, my path – the Most Merciful, my companion – the Most Compassionate guards me from everything that touches me. I have fortified myself with the One of Majesty and Power, and I have held fast to the Lord of the Kingdom, and I have placed my trust in the Living One who does not die. The Exalted has cast His beautiful veil over me and hidden me in the secret of His mercy from whoever comes to me with evil. And whoever comes to me with evil falls prostrate on his face, and Allah places his scheme in his throat. O Allah, we place You in their throats, and we seek refuge in You from their evils, and we seek Your help against them, O Lord of the worlds. I have become in a dome of iron, its base in the water and its top in the sky, its keys are O Beautiful One of Veiling. When danger surrounds, Allah is sufficient for me as a support – Allah is the One who takes charge of my affairs – There is no deity but Allah, my fortress. The Verse of the Throne is my anchor. Say: He is Allah, the One, my sword. In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate:
(1) Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, (2) Allah, the Eternal Refuge. (3) He neither begets nor is born, (4) Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4]
The Sincerity, I do not care about anyone
(173) Those to whom hypocrites said, "Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them." But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, "Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs." (174) So they returned with favor from Allah and bounty, no harm having touched them. And they pursued the pleasure of Allah, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
[Ali 'Imran 3:173-174]
. End. My question is, O noble father: Does this supplication have a basis in the religion, and is it permissible to supplicate with such phrases as found in this text? Since some of them contain verbal violations of the Shari'ah, such as bad manners toward Allah – Mighty and Majestic? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with the best reward, as advice to the Ummah and clarification
of the truth, and may Allah reward you with the best reward, and He is the Guide to the right path, and may Allah preserve you and care for you.

A: This supplication contains vague phrases, such as his saying: (I have become in a dome of iron ... etc.), and his saying: (The Verse of the Throne is my anchor) and (Say: He is Allah, the One, my sword), and his saying: (The Most Merciful, my companion). It contains Shari'ah violations – therefore, it is not permissible to supplicate with it. Also, affirming the benefit of this supplication when encountering one whose violence is feared, without Shari'ah evidence, is not permissible. Therefore, the Committee warns against distributing this pamphlet and its like, to prevent the infiltration and spread of religious innovations. And Allah is the One who grants success and guides to the right path.
