and do not dispute and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart
وَلاَ تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ رِيحُكُمْAnd hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided
وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواAnd, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way
وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِIndeed, I am leaving among you, that which if you hold fast to them, you shall not be misguided after me.
تركت فيكم ما إن تمسكتم به لن تضلوا بعدي أبدًا : كتاب الله ، وسنتيFirst:

Abu al-Hasan al-Qabisi, the author of al-Mukhtasar, who was killed by 'Abd Allah and his sons after him, said: (Four thousand men in the House of Slaughter in the punishment, among them scholars and worshippers, to turn them away from being pleased with the Companions, so they chose death).
Al-Suyuti said in (Tarikh al-Khulafa', p. 526): And among that is the beginning of the 'Ubaydi state, and they are sufficient in corruption, disbelief, and killing scholars and the righteous.
Al-Shatibi al-Maliki said in (al-I'tisam, vol. 2, p. 44): (The 'Ubaydiyyah who ruled Egypt and Ifriqiyyah claimed that the legal rulings are only for the common people, while the elite among them have risen above that level. Thus, women are absolutely lawful for them, as is everything in the universe, wet and dry, also lawful for them, citing as evidence for this the fables of old women that no person of intellect would accept)
