The ninth question of Fatwa No. ( 17883 )
Q 9: Is it from the Sunnah to recite the Qur'an before the two 'Id prayers and to recite the takbir between the recitations, or not? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.
A 9: It is preferable for the one praying on the day of 'Id to engage in the takbir until the sermon ends, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions. If you recite the Qur'an before the prayer, there is no blame on you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
