The mu'adhdhin called the adhan, and after the adhan he went out to perform wudu'

The first question of fatwa number ( 17527 )
Q 1: A khatib stood in one of the mosques in Jeddah to deliver the khutbah, and he greeted the people, then the mu'adhdhin called the adhan. After the adhan, the mu'adhdhin went out to perform wudu'. Is the mu'adhdhin's action permissible, and what is the ruling on his going out after the second adhan? It is known that there was no one in the mosque beforehand waiting for the prayer; rather, he came for the adhan and then left to perform wudu'. What is the ruling on his action?
A 1: It is more complete for the mu'adhdhin to purify himself in his home before coming to the mosque. However, if the mu'adhdhin goes out to perform wudu' after the adhan, that does not affect his adhan, nor the validity of his prayer. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
