Fatwa No. ( 21541 )
Praise be to Allah alone, and may blessings and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. And after: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed what was sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Guidance, in his letter No. (1 \ 2 \ 546 S) dated 15 \ 5 \ 1421 AH, which was referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars, No. (40 \ S) dated 23 \ 5 \ 1421 AH. His Excellency asked a question, the text of which is as follows: "Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. In response to the desire and concern of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—may Allah support him—to enable citizens to take up job opportunities in all fields, and in accordance with what was approved in the meeting held under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness: the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, in his office in Jeddah, dated 30 \ 12 \ 1420 AH, in our presence and that of His Excellency the Minister of Hajj, following which his Royal Highness's cable No. (A \ Sh \ 1584) was issued on 14 \ 1 \ 1421 AH regarding the subject of Saudi-izing the jobs of pilgrim transport bus drivers, the Supreme Committee for Supervising Pilgrim Transport has begun implementing an ambitious plan aimed at Saudi-izing the jobs of pilgrim transport companies
for the Hajj season of 1421 AH. I am sending to Your Eminence a copy of the cable from His Royal Highness the Prince of the Makkah Region, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Supervising Pilgrim Transport, No. (A \ M \ 254628) dated 22 \ 4 \ 1421 AH, accompanied by a copy of an announcement for bus driver and technician positions for this year's Hajj season, 1421 AH. His Highness requested that it be placed in prominent locations in the mosques so that citizens can see it and benefit from it. I hope Your Eminence will kindly inform us of the Sharia ruling on announcing job vacancies in mosques.

And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke with Allah anyone.وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا
[Al-Jinn 72:18]

Narrated Abu Hurairah: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When you see someone selling or buying in the Masjid then say: 'May Allah not profit your business.' And when you see someone announcing about something lost then say: 'May Allah not return it to you.'" The Hadith of Abu Hurairah is Hasan Gharib. This is acted upon according to some of the people of knowledge. They dislike selling and buying in the Masjid. This is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq. Some of the people of knowledge permitted selling and buying in the Masjid.إذا رأيتم من يبيع في المسجد فقولوا: لا أربح الله تجارتك
