The Order of Making Up Missed Prayers

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 13754 )
Q 2: A group of us young men went on a trip to one of the deserts in our area. The time for the Maghrib prayer arrived, and when we got out of the car to perform the prayer in congregation, heavy rain fell on us. There was no mosque anywhere, as we were in a desert area. So we returned to the car and drove along the road, and the rain did not stop until the time for the 'Isha' prayer. At that point, a dispute arose among us, with one of us saying: "We will pray 'Isha' now, since it is the current time, and then make up Maghrib." Some of us said: "We will pray Maghrib first, then pray 'Isha' after it." In fact, each of us prayed according to his own understanding. I ask for the answer regarding what is correct in such matters so that we may worship Allah with knowledge?
A 2: The order of the prayers is obligatory. Therefore, the one who delayed the Maghrib prayer until the time of 'Isha' for an excuse must pray the two prayers in order: he prays Maghrib first, then prays 'Isha'.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
