The obligation to maintain the order of the prayers
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17295 )
Q 1: If a person is traveling and intends to combine the Zuhr and 'Asr prayers, for example by delaying them, and during the time of the 'Asr prayer he enters a mosque where people are praying 'Asr, should he join them with the intention of Zuhr or 'Asr, and then pray the second prayer after the congregation finishes?
A 1: Maintaining the order of the prayers is obligatory. If he finds people praying the current prayer and he has a previous prayer due on him, he should pray that one first, then join them
in the remainder of the current prayer. If he joins them with the intention of the previous prayer and then, after they conclude, he prays the current prayer, there is no harm in that according to the correct view. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
