Q3: Since the mosque is far from our residence, we do not hear the adhan, including the adhan for Maghrib. Is it permissible for us to break our fast immediately upon the setting of the sun?
A3: If you have ascertained the setting of the sun, or if it is highly probable that it has set
due to the presence of clouds or the like, you may break your fast even if you have not heard the adhan; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih al-Bukhari 1954 . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
