Building a mosque with the funds of the Christians

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 20112 )
Q: We are a group from the 'Umar Mosque in France in the city of ( L'Hay ). The mayor of the city donated a piece of land to us and built a mosque for us at the expense of the municipality. It was completed in 1975 CE, and we have been praying in the mosque since that date. However, some of the brothers are now saying: It is not permissible to pray in this mosque because it was built with Christian funds . They have stopped praying in this mosque and have set up a private prayer hall for themselves. Please issue a ruling on this mosque, and may Allah reward you with the best reward.
A: There is no harm in praying in the aforementioned mosque, because its construction by the government authority is the fulfillment of a right that the citizens have upon it. Therefore, there is no justification for the aforementioned individuals to withdraw from the mosque, and the reasoning they provided is incorrect.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
