Q3: What is the obligation of a Muslim regarding paper scraps and cuttings containing Qur'anic verses , and hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) thrown in the streets and roads?
A3 : If one sees a verse from the Book of Allah in papers or sheets, and likewise if it contains something from the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), or something from the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) or the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), or the names and attributes of Allah, then he should take it and lift it up, or burn it, or bury it in good earth that is not a path for people, and he should not throw it on the ground; because that is considered a desecration of the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
