The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 17290 )
Q 4: A person may find papers or scraps containing the name of Allah or His words . Is it permissible for him to burn them on the grounds that he cannot bear to see the words of Allah thrown in the street or in impure places?
A 4 : If one finds papers containing verses from the Qur'an, or containing the name of Allah the Exalted, there is nothing wrong with burning them to protect them from desecration, or burying them in a pure place. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
