Drawing the faces of humans or animals

Fatwa number ( 15755 )
Q: Below are some drawings I included in a book I wrote about life in the desert. I would like to know the ruling on such partial drawings. Is there any religious prohibition in this? I ask for your fatwa.
A: It is not permissible to draw the image of anything that has a soul, whether human or otherwise,
whether the entire body is drawn or only the head and face; because the prohibited image is the image of the face; because the trial of the image lies in the face. Therefore, it is not permissible to do what you asked about, which is drawing the faces of humans or animals; because image-making is prohibited in the authentic hadiths, and there is a severe warning against it. May Allah guide us all to what is good and to following [the truth]. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
