The Virtue of Surat al-Zalzalah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 17: 1- From Abu Hurayrah he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever recites it (al-Zalzalah) on a night, it will be for him like the equivalent of half the Qur'anمن قرأها ( الزلزلة ) في ليلة كانت له كعدل نصف القرآن
. 2- And from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever recites (If the earth is shaken), it will be equivalent to half the Qur'anمن قرأ ( إذا زلزلت الأرض ) عدلت نصف القرآن
.

A 17: 1- The first hadith was narrated by Ibn al-Sunni through the route of 'Ubayy ibn Maymun , who told us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir , from Abu Salama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman , from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever recites on a night (If the earth is shaken), it will be for him like the equivalent of half the Qur'an, and whoever recites (Say: O you disbelievers), it will be for him like the equivalent of a quarter of the Qur'an, and whoever recites (Say: He is Allah, One), it will be for him like the equivalent of a third of the Qur'anمن قرأ ليلة إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الأَرْضُ كانت له كعدل نصف القرآن، ومن قرأ قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ كانت له كعدل ربع القرآن، ومن قرأ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ كانت له كعدل ثلث القرآن
. 'Ubayy ibn Maymun is weak, but the hadith has corroborating narrations that strengthen it. 2- And the second hadith was narrated by al-Tirmidhi in his (Jami') saying: Told us Muhammad ibn Musa al-Harshi al-Basri , told us al-Hasan ibn Salim ibn
Salih al-'Ajli
, told us Thabit al-Bunani , from Anas ibn Malik he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said with the like of the hadith of Abu Hurayrah mentioned earlier, but without mentioning the night. And in this chain of narration is al-Hasan ibn Salim who is unknown, but the hadith has corroborating narrations.
