The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16021 )
Q 2: How can I have a sound creed based on an Islamic scientific foundation in faith and other matters?
A 2: The creed of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) is the foundation upon which the Muslim builds
his righteous deeds. It is the creed derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and what the righteous Salaf (the earliest generations) were upon. It is explained in the authentic books authored by the imams of Islam, such as (The Creed of Imam al-Tahawi and its commentary) by al-‘Izz ibn ‘Abd al-Salam , and (The Middle Creed) by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah , and (The Book of Tawhid) by Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab and its commentary (Fath al-Majid). You should read these books under the guidance of reliable scholars from the people of the Sunnah and the community who will clarify them for you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
