Faith is divisible

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17923 )
Q 2: Is faith, in its essence, indivisible, such that if a part of it is lost, the whole is lost? If so, how is this reconciled with the fact that
faith increases and decreases .
A 2: Faith is divisible; it increases and decreases, as Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Anfal 8:2] , and He said: [Maryam 19:76] . The loss of a part of faith does not mean the loss of the whole; because the claim that the loss of a part of faith is the loss of the whole is the doctrine of the Khawarij , and it is an incorrect statement; because Allah says: [Al-Hujurat 49:9] , thereby affirming their faith despite the fighting among them, and He said: [Al-Baqarah 2:178] , calling him his brother even though he was fighting. The doctrine of the people of the Sunnah is that a person may have faith and open sinfulness, obedience and disobedience, coexisting in him; faith increases with obedience and decreases with disobedience.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

A 2: Faith is divisible; it increases and decreases, as Allah the Exalted said:
and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely -
And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance,
And if two factions among the believers should fight
But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
