What is called the Poison Basin

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 15213 )
Q: We ask your Eminence to inform us, we who are residents of the Qudayd Valley, about what is called: (the Poison Basin), which some people say and believe contains the Greatest Name of Allah, and that it cures, by the permission of Allah, from poisons if the patient drinks water from it or if it is placed in a container with water, which was brought to your Eminence by each of (S. Z. W. H. Y.), and some people were led astray by it after
drinking water from it, saying: "It has cured us, as we have experienced." And peace be upon you.

A: After the Committee studied the writing on the basin mentioned in the letter, it issued a ruling prohibiting its use for many reasons, the greatest of which is: that using it is a means to shirk (associating partners with Allah) with it and with the members of the Prophet's household mentioned in it, and with the animals and zodiac signs depicted in it. Another reason is: the desecration of the names of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions.
