Collective supplication after the conclusion of a Qur'an recitation circle in the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 19772 )
Q1: We are a group in Sudan who sit in a circle in the mosque to recite the Noble Qur'an daily after the Fajr prayer. At the end of the recitation, a designated man makes supplication and raises his hands, and we raise our hands with him and say "Ameen" to it. Is this practice permissible or not permissible?
A1: This collective supplication after the conclusion of the aforementioned circle of Qur'an recitation is a religious innovation (bid'ah) that must be abandoned. There is no harm in each person making supplication for himself individually after finishing the recitation of the Noble Qur'an, or in other circumstances; because supplication is an act of worship, and it is required at all times, especially after the completion of an act of worship. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
