Q13: Recitation of the Qur'an, voluntary prayers, and supplication: which of these is more excellent in the sight of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He?
A13: Recitation of the Qur'an is excellent, voluntary acts of worship are excellent, and supplication is excellent; it is the essence of worship. The excellence and priority of these matters vary according to different circumstances, times, causes, and requirements. We advise you to increase in the recitation of the Qur'an, voluntary prayers, and supplication according to your ability, with sincerity to Allah and advice in your deeds. Be glad of good and abundant reward. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
