Fatwa No. ( 19040 )
Q: The preacher Ahmad Deedat mentioned in his book: ( The Qur'an, the Miracle of Miracles ) that the Qur'an is a multiple of the number ( 19 ), and he gave examples of this, some of which we mention. - The word "Name" appears in the Qur'an 19 times. - The word "Allah" appears in the Qur'an 2698 times ( 19 × 142 ). - The word "The Merciful" appears in the Qur'an 114 times ( 19 × 6 ). - The letter ( N ) appears in Surat al-Qalam 133 times ( 19 × 7 ). He also cited the study conducted by the so-called: ( Dr. Rashad Khalifa ) in his book: ( The Qur'an: A Visual Presentation of the Miracle ), from which we also mention some of the examples he cited. - The first Qur'anic revelation was 19 words, and these words consist of 76 letters ( 19 × 4 ). - The first surah of the Qur'an: 19 verses, and it contains: 285 letters, i.e., ( 19 × 15 ).. etc. He requested a fatwa on this.
A: This study is among the fabrications and nonsense of the Batini Baha'i sect , and it is based on the deification of the number nineteen. There is no doubt that it is invalid, for it is a manipulation of the Great Qur'an and a diversion of people from reflecting upon it
and knowing its correct meanings. This vile group has many corrupt beliefs, including: the claim of some of its preachers to prophethood, their belief in the indwelling and union of the divine with humans, the prohibition of jihad, and the call for the unity of religions, among other things. It is obligatory for all Muslims to be cautious and warn against falling into the trap of this disbelieving sect, and being influenced by their ideas and books. We ask Allah, Exalted is His might, to nullify their plot, and to protect the Muslims from their evil. Indeed, He is capable of all things. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
