Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 16483 )
Q 1: Is it correctthe people's claim that Allah has twenty obligatory attributes, among which are: existence, eternity, permanence, His being unlike created things, His oneness, and others?
A 1: It is obligatory to affirm all that Allah has described Himself with in His Book, or that His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) described Him with in his Sunnah. This is not limited to seven attributes, fourteen attributes, or twenty attributes, because this is the statement of the Asha'irah , and it is a statement about Allah without knowledge. Therefore, it is not permissible to believe in it or adopt it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
