Q 2: We use methods to hunt free birds (falcons), such as a sparrow, a pigeon, or a shahin bird, and we blind this bird for 30 or 20 days. Is this forbidden or permissible? Knowing that the bird is not harmed by such things.
A 2 : It is not permissible to torture birds for the purpose of hunting falcons with them; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade using anything with a soul as a target; due to the torture and lack of mercy involved. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
