The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14737 )
Q 2: Your Eminence, it happened that I said to my uncle, my father's brother: "By Allah, if you buy 'Amarah, I will slaughter a young bull" . This was three years ago, and it came to pass that he bought 'Amarah. So, is the vow upon me, or what should I do? My financial situation is now such that I cannot afford it. What is the solution other than fasting, if there is fasting involved? And what is the solution if my uncle grants me permission?
A 2: It is obligatory for you to fulfill the vow; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted: , and because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sunan Ibn Majah 2126Sahih (Darussalam) .
The vow is a right for Allah that you have made obligatory upon yourself, so your uncle does not have the authority to grant you permission to abandon it, and it remains a debt upon you until you fulfill it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

They fulfill their vows
يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِWhoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him, and whoever vows to disobey Allah, let him not disobey Him.
من نذر أن يطيع الله فليطعه، ومن نذر أن يعصي الله فلا يعصهThe vow is a right for Allah that you have made obligatory upon yourself, so your uncle does not have the authority to grant you permission to abandon it, and it remains a debt upon you until you fulfill it.
